Honey Garlic Chicken

Our family enjoys chinese food but we don't enjoy how we feel after we get it out. So I am always experimenting and making it at home.

This recipe turned out great and I wanted to share!

Cut up chicken in bite size pieces. Coat it in corn starch + garlic + salt. Add to cast iron pan with already heated avocado oil or cook in airfryer.

Sauce

1/3 cup of raw honey (I use organic raw honey from a local source or simple truth organic brand)

1/3 cup chicken broth (I use organic better than bullion to make)

2 tablespoons coconut aminos (I use Coconut Secret Organic)

2 tablespoons rice vinegar (I use Marukna organic)

4 cloves garlic (I use my own that I mince and freeze ahead of time)

2 tablespoons of butter

Cornstarch slurry to thicken (I use Anthony's Organic)

Melt butter first over low heat then add the garlic. Cook a few minutes until fragrant. Add everything else and stir. Allow to cook and thicken for five minutes. Add some cornstarch slurry to thicken further as needed. Drizzle over chicken and serve immediately.

OPITONAL: serve with basmati rice or cauliflower rice, or a mix of both.
